Choate stocks are available for Ithaca, Remington, Mossberg,
Winchester, H&R, Thompson Center, Savage, SKS, AK-47, Ruger Mini-14, Ruger
Mini-30, M1 Carbine, Mauser, H&K, and Ruger 10/22. These are high quality,
drop-in synthetic stocks that are easy to mount and deliver years of consistent
accuracy.
We
offer a Magazine Extension Kit for shotgun owners. Our kit includes everything
that you need to safely increase your firepower.
Kit includes (1) Magazine Extension (7,8, 9 and 10 shot), (1) Base Clamp,
(except Fabarms FP6 and Mossberg 835) and
(1) High Visibility Shell Follower.

These kits are constructed of solid polished or matte blued steel and come complete with
spring, base clamp,(except Mossberg 835, no clamp supplied) & follower. The new model Remington 870/1100/1187 shotguns
have dimples that will have to be drilled out with 3/16 inch holes before the
spring will extend up into the magazine extension. The older model Remington
870/1100/1187 will readily accept extensions without any alterations.

Special Fitting Instructions:
The new model Remington 870/1100/1187 shotguns have dimples
that will have to be drilled out with 3/16 drill bit before the
spring will extend up into the magazine extension. The older
model Remington 870/1100/1187 will readily accept our extensions
without any alterations. No extensions for Mossberg 500/600/590.

a clamp. Extensions are
available in polished blue or matte blue finishes. |

General information on
extensions.
7 Shot- +2shot Length- 6 in. fits 18
in. barrel Some Mossberg shotguns use a +1 shot
extension for the 18 inch barrel. 8 Shot- +3 Length- 8 ½
in. fits 20 ½ in barrel 9 Shot- +4 Length- 10 ¼ in. fits
22 ½ in. barrel 10 Shot- +5 Length- 14 ¾ in. fits 26 ½
in. barrel The barrel on the 835 Mossberg pump is closer
to the magazine cap so you will have to use one size
shorter extension than the chart shows. Magazine
capacity is measured with 2 3/4 inch shells. You will
loose one round of capacity with 3 inch shells. The new
model Remington shotguns have dimples that hold the
spring retainer in. If you have these you will need a
3/16 inch (5mm) drill and drill each dimple out for the
outside of the tube. You take a round file and remove
all burs for the inside of the tube. 1. You will need
eye protection! Part will be under spring pressure.
Remove the magazine cap from the end of the magazine
tube under barrel by unscrewing it. 2. If your shotgun
has the metal spring retainer you will have to gently
pull it out. Caution the spring is under pressure, it
will jump out of the tube if you are not careful. If you
have the new type spring retainer remove the dimples. 3.
Remove the spring and shell follower. You do not have to
use the orange follower that comes with the extension,
you can use the original follower if you wish. 4.
Install a follower and the long spring into the tube on
the shotgun and then slide the extension over the other
end of the spring and feed the spring into both tubes as
you lower the extension on to the end of the magazine
tube. The screw the extension on to the end of the
magazine tube while holding the tube straight with the
barrel. |

What is the longest extension I
can use on my shotgun?
Shotgun Magazine Extensions 7 Shot-

will add one round so the extension will not stick past
the end of the barrel. 8 Shot- Length- 8 ½ in. fits 20 ½

10 Shot- Length- 14 ¾ in. fits 26 ½ in. barrel Magazine
